Our Story
Bearded Bros was started by two childhood friends, Simon and Jonny, who saw a gap in the market for a reliable, sensibly priced professional moving service with an honest focus on customer experience from the first call to the final box.
They started with one van in 2013. Since then the business has grown to a small fleet of vans and trucks, with a team of around twenty trained crew members. Tom joined as Operations Manager in 2014 and has worked in every role within the business. Several of the wider team have been with us for five to ten years, which is genuinely unusual in the removals industry and something we are proud of. Simon continues to work day-to-day as Managing Director, keeping the same priorities the business was built on.
Our domestic removals service covers Brighton and Hove, the wider East Sussex and West Sussex area, and anywhere in the UK. That includes house and flat removals, packing and unpacking support, and storage at our Brighton depot on Springfield Road. Every move is covered by goods in transit insurance, giving you cover for your belongings from collection to delivery.
Our Accreditations
We hold eight accreditations across quality, consumer protection and trading standards.
We joined the British Association of Removers (BAR) in mid-2026, membership no. B006. BAR is the removals industry's leading trade body, and membership includes the BAR Advance Payment Guarantee, which protects your deposit if anything goes wrong before your move date. We are also approved under the Trading Standards Code of Practice (CTSI), registered with the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO), and listed on Move Assured and Checkatrade. We are a Brighton and Hove Living Wage employer and a member of the Self Storage Association UK (SSA UK).

Meet the Brothers
Simon - Director
Simon set the business up and has been running Bearded Bros since 2013. When he was younger he played the trombone in the Royal Albert Hall.
Tom - Operations Manager
Tom has worked for Bearded Bros since 2014, during this time he has worked in every job role within the business and has experience in all areas of the company. When Tom was younger he used to race sailing boats.
Joe - Office Manager
Joe has worked in our office team since 2022. Joe has been in the local paper twice and is well known for his BBQ skills.
Alan - HGV Driver
Alan has been working with Bearded Bros since 2018. When he is not moving customers he enjoys learning Spanish and checking out local gigs.
Ross - Driver
Ross has been driving with Bearded Bros since 2023. He is an identical twin but is convinced he is the good looking one.
Craig - Porter
Craig has been working for Bearded Bros since 2021. He also won the best looking baby award in Peacehaven in 1985.
Blake - DRiver
Blake has worked at Bearded Bros since 2018. He was rifle shooting champion at the age of 13 for the national training core.
Sam - Driver
Sam has driven for Bearded Bros since 2022. In his spare time Sam loves to practice circus skills.
Stu - Warehouse Manager
Stu has worked for Bearded Bros since 2019. He has 3 dogs and loves taking them for walks around Sussex.
Nathan - Porter
Nathan has been working for Bearded Bros since 2022. He is a die hard Brighton and Hove Albion fan and follows the Seagulls home and away.
Ronan - Driver
Ronan has driven for Bearded Bros since 2023 and has worked in the industry for 3 years. If he could have a super power he would be able to fly.
Craig - Driver
Craig has been working with us since 2021. Before working with us he traveled around the USA.
Billy - Driver
Billy has been working with Bearded Bros since 2023. In 2019 he won the Queen's silver medal for the most notable endeavour.
Geoff - HGV Driver
Geoff has been working with Bearded Bros since 2018. When not at work he is a well known and respected MC.
