Bearded Bros has been moving Brighton families and businesses since 2013, and we run our own self-storage facility on Springfield Road, a five-minute walk from London Road station. More than 10,000 moves later, we've learned that the tricky part of a move usually isn't the lift. It's the gap between selling, completing and finally getting the keys. That's where storage earns its keep.
If your dates have slipped, your new flat is smaller than your old house, or you're heading off to renovate, we can pack your belongings, take them to our Brighton depot or our crated facility in Newhaven, and bring them back the day you want them. One team, one quote, one phone call.
Chains move. Sale dates wobble. Renovations overrun. None of that has to derail your move.
When your dates aren't fixed, we'll book your removal in for the date that does work and roll the rest into storage. Your things go from your old place straight into our van, into the secure unit or crate, and out again on your new completion day. You don't have to live out of boxes in a friend's spare room, you don't have to pay double rent, and you don't have to coordinate three different companies to get it done.
We also see this a lot with customers who've sold but are renting short-term while they look, customers downsizing from a four-bed to a two-bed and needing somewhere for the furniture they're not yet ready to part with, and customers heading abroad for a few months who want their flat empty and their belongings safe.

Container self-storage at our Brighton site (146-148 Springfield Road, BN1 6DG) is the right call if you want regular access. Full containers are around 150 sq ft, half containers around 75 sq ft, and you can come and go on weekdays plus Saturday mornings. The site is fenced, gated and on 24/7 CCTV.
Crated storage at our Newhaven facility is the right call for longer stays where you don't need to drop in every week. Each crate holds about 250 cu ft of belongings, gets sealed at the depot, and stays sealed until we deliver it. Access is by appointment.

The four most common reasons customers ask us for removals and storage in the same booking:
Renovations. You're ripping out a kitchen or having the floors done and you want everything off-site, properly protected, until the work's finished.
Chain gaps. Your buyer's ready, your seller isn't, and there's a few weeks between move-out and move-in. We bridge it.
Downsizing. You're moving into a smaller place but you're not yet ready to sell or give away the larger pieces. Store them while you decide.
Going away. Heading overseas, working away, or letting the flat for a season, and we'll empty the place out, hold your things, and bring them back when you're back.
