Home and flat removals in Hove
A domestic removals job in BN3 is rarely a single problem. The wide avenues north of Church Road, from The Drive down to Woodland Drive, look generous on a map but parking is restricted and the front gardens are often gated. The Regency squares around Brunswick and Palmeira are mostly Grade II flats with stone front steps, narrow halls and no lift: a two-bedroom flat on Palmeira Avenue can take twice the crew time of a comparably sized house in Aldrington because every box travels the same tight stairwell twice. The late-Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Poets Corner have staircases that turn on a small landing halfway up, which rules out a standard double mattress going straight. The 1930s semis in West Hove and Hove Park and the family houses out in Aldrington are easier on the legs but often involve a long carry from the kerb to the front door when the drive is blocked by skips or a neighbour's van. A Brighton move is not the same job as a Hove move, even across the same postcode boundary. Brighton's Kemp Town and Hanover terraces run steeply up from the seafront, which creates different loading constraints to the flatter BN3 streets. We size the crew and vehicle to the actual building on both sides of the move, so the quote names what you are getting rather than a round number padded for worst-case.
All our crews carry goods in transit insurance as standard. Cover is in place for every move we handle. If the move involves furniture that needs to come apart, dismantling and reassembly is available on request: beds, wardrobes, desks, flat-pack units. We note every item that needs this at the quote stage so there are no surprises on the day.

Packing and unpacking help, boxes and materials
If packing is the part you would rather not think about, our packing service team will handle it for you: room by room, with proper paper, double-walled boxes and labels that match the new floor plan. We also unpack at the other end if you want the job finished in a day rather than spread across a week of evenings. If you would rather pack yourself, the Bearded Bros box shop sells everything you need, including reusable plastic crates and wardrobe boxes you can hire instead of buy. The reusable option works well in Hove flats where there is nowhere sensible to break down a stack of cardboard once you have unpacked.
For storage between your old home and your new one, our self-storage and crated storage options are run from our own sites in Brighton and Newhaven, so a delayed completion or a renovation gap does not mean handing your belongings to a third party.

Storage if your dates change
Hove completion dates slip. A buyer pulls out, a chain stalls, the new place needs a week of plastering before the sofa can go in. Our Springfield Road site in Brighton holds full or half containers (150 sq ft or 75 sq ft) with 24/7 CCTV, weekday access and Saturday morning access. Our Newhaven facility holds longer-term crated storage at 250 cu ft per crate. If your move turns into a two-stage move, we will collect, store and redeliver on a date you set, with the same paperwork and the same crew you started with.
How our Hove removals work
The flow is the same on every job. You send us photos, a video walk-through or a rough inventory and your two postcodes. We come back with a written quote naming the crew, the vehicle and the inclusions. We agree a date and take a deposit to hold it.
