Our depot sits at 146 to 148 Springfield Road in Brighton, three miles up the A259 from Saltdean, which means short travel time, sensible pricing on local moves, and a crew who actually knows the area.
Saltdean is a short hop from our Springfield Road depot, but the move itself is rarely as simple as the postcode suggests. The streets that climb up from the seafront, like Longridge Avenue and the cliff-top stretch of Marine Drive, are tight, steep and parking-restricted in places. The 1930s Art Deco homes around the Ocean estate have their own quirks, especially the curved staircases and tucked-away garages. Our team has been working those streets for more than a decade, so we know which roads suit a 7.5 tonne truck and which need a smaller Luton or a shuttle.
We are not a national franchise dropping in for the day. The Bros are a local Brighton firm, founded in 2013 by Simon and Jonny, with a team that has stayed put for years. Tom, our Operations Manager, has been with the company since 2014. That kind of continuity matters when you are handing someone the keys to your home for the morning.
Saltdean moves come in a few shapes: a 1930s seafront flat near the Lido, a family home up by Saltdean Park, or one of the newer-build houses on the BN2 8 estates. We tailor the crew, the vehicle and the protection kit to the property. Single items, full house packs, downsizes, upsizes, and short-notice moves are all part of a normal week for us. We bring the right vehicle, the right crew size, and the right protection kit for the floors and corners that catch you out in older properties.
For full house moves we offer a packing service where the Bros wrap, box and label everything the day before. For flat moves and smaller jobs, plenty of customers prefer to pack themselves and have us turn up to do the lift, the load and the drive. Either works. We will price both options clearly so you can pick.
If you would rather pack yourself and just want the materials, our box shop sells boxes in three sizes, bubble wrap, packing tape, mattress covers, wardrobe boxes and furniture covers. We also hire out reusable plastic crates by the half-week or full week, which work out cheaper than cardboard if you are organised and a lot kinder on the recycling bin afterwards.
If you want a hand with the awkward bits, the kitchen, the loft, the picture frames, we can send a crew out for a half day or a full day to pack just those rooms. Most of our Saltdean jobs use a mix: customers do the books, clothes and kids' rooms, and we handle the breakables.
Sale chains slip, completion dates wobble, and renovations overrun. None of that has to derail a Saltdean move. We run our own storage facility at our Brighton site, with full container units (150 sq ft) and half containers (75 sq ft), 24/7 CCTV, and weekday plus Saturday-morning access.
